Ecosystem Planning and Restoration
Fort Montgomery, NY
Since the first publication in February 2016, the Functional Lift Quantification Tool for Stream Restoration Projects in North Carolina has been regionalized to cover 10 states including North Carolina, Tennessee, Wyoming, Colorado, Michigan, Georgia, Minnesota, Alaska, South Carolina and soon Wisconsin. The spreadsheet tool and accompanying documentation started funded by a non-profit and has been reviewed by members of interagency review teams, state agencies, federal agencies, USACE ERDC, and practitioners. This presentation will review the public comments, lessons learned, and progression of the SQT workbooks and manuals. From sinuosity as a metric, reference curve development, to how stormwater control measures are addressed in the tool, this presentation will cover where we have been and what we have learned since 2016.
